  2. Graham Zetter says:

all i can say is that i hope you have fixed the sound on this tv as on the 19″ i brought from you for our caravan is so bad and tinny we dont even use the tv
and your customer service did not want to know about it

TV unit is fine. The Operating Manual (which needs to be downloaded) is pathetic. It is not user friendly, and certainly not for Senior Citizens.

  4. David Stephens says:

All I can say is if the LED TV is as good as the LCD TV it will be fantastic

  5. Darren Good says:

I think the 24 LED tv will be great, just what I need for the boat when we’re in the bay fishing and want to watch Sunday footy as well. Brilliant

LED tv at your price would be great. It is the state of the art in entertainment sector. I do not own one, but am planning to buy one in near future. I would like to share a couple of things in this regard. First – You are supplying the video part of it. The best picture quality that can be delivered. So that is done. Then comes the audio part of it. I do believe you have concentrated on that also. But some advice to customers in your manuals regarding attaching the tv to home theater system you believe the best suited to the tv – which in par with the video quality – will give the customer the complete satisfaction of supreme audio-video entertainment. Trust me, I have such a combination presently with my existing LCD tv, and when you enjoy a genuine dvd, the joy you get is almost ultimate. If it is going to a LED tv, then it will be still great. A piece of advice from you, would complete the joy of entertainment. Secondly, at a fraction of extra cost, if you can offer blu ray playing component to the tv, it will take the tv one step ahead of the rest – as there is no tv that comes which is LED tv-Blu Ray player combination. You will be the first to launch that and any one who enjoys that, will bring in more customers to you – that is guaranteed. Third is you have USB port – but if it can play a pen drive with a movie downloaded to it would be ultimate as many of us some times take the trouble to download some good movies to pendrive and if it can be played in a tv that would be great. These are the things I am expecting in my tv and this will make the entertainment section to a near complete. I believe you must working in your Research and Development hard to improve and above are some of the points I would like to check if I am buying a tv. Good Luck.

The picture quality seems very good to me and the LED back-lighting (assuming cheaper sidelit LED as opposed to tandem LCD LED) will give me 50 percent more battery running time than my previous 48cm LCD TV, in the van.

The manual is poor and really should be a hard copy rather than a download. This would hardly add to the cost of the unit as is suggested by Tyagi.

Remote is good and operates well. I don’t mind this at all.

Still early days but I did note the tuner might be one of the least sensitive ones around as channel 2 fails, yet this station is fine on my other 4 ST boxes (2 of which have the least sensitive tuners around, so not sitting well for the Tyagi tuner).

And what is this glass base all about as it is just flimsy plastic, which makes me worry about the white plastic quality and if it may yellow. The plastic does not seem to be the high quality you would get with LG, Samsung etc.

All up it is not comparable quality to the best out there but if it is a couple of hundred dollars cheaper then it is great value. LCD has come a long way and this unit does well with picture quality.

    Hi Ashok,

Thank you for the feedback. We will take your advice into account in the future releases. Just to let you know that our current model 24LED does support pen drive playback. So if you have files on a USB you can actually plug in to 24LED and play most audio and video formats.

    Hi Phil,

Thank you for the feedback. The reason we have user manual for download and not printed is to help the environment not save costs. Most of the customers use User manual only once when they receive the TV and each manual consists of 25-30 pages which gets thrown away after some time adding to paper waste. As this is a digital TV, the tuner requires a minimum strength of the signal for it to be able to catch all the channels. Signal strength varies on many things, like the area you live in and how many TVs are connected to the Antenna output. Most ST boxes have built in amplifier, which is why you are able to get all channels through the ST box. The glass base is actually glass not plastic, only the Black LED TV has glass base, the White LED TV has plastic base not glass. Tyagi brand name represents ultimate value for the money, we are the ‘Toyota’ in electronics business not BMW. Hope this helps.

    Hi Walter,

The user manuals are for download only and not printed is to help the environment. As a dynamic and environmentally friendly company we try to do our part to help the environment.

Maybe every bit counts but downloaded manuals instead of hard copy does nothing at all to save the environment and this manual is brief and of few pages. It’s just a comfort thought when you realise what might really be necessary to save the environment. Bit like Prius cars and compact fluorescents actually doing more harm than good!

I can’t agree with your comment regarding set top boxes as the reason I am not getting channel 2 properly. I think it’s a tuner issue and it’s threshold of rejection seems to be an issue of quality.

    Hi again

Playing with usb movie feature. This is a great feature and wondering if you can recommend a usb pvr (especially for 12v).

  13. Phil says:

Just played a vob file through the usb port and it wasn’t the best. Does this mean the usb port is unsuitable for HD playback?

  14. Phil says:

Meant to mention I was using a 2Gb Sony Microvault reformatted. I’m new to this sort of thing and I note the 9.8Mbps limitation. I don’t know how usb sticks stack up for this kind of movie watching but before buying any external drive can you advise what is best if I plan to use VOB files? Or should I just buy another player and use the other TV inputs for best playback quality?

  15. Phil says:

The TV carton says USB 2.0 and I would think this should indicate a transfer speed of 480 Mbps. A 9.8Mbps max (as the manual states), makes me wonder if the USB port is only USB1!?

    Hi Phil,

The environment issue is a whole topic on its own, and everyone has their opinions about it that what is helping and what is not. I will not go too much into detail here, but as a business we have to do things that majority of the people agree with.

Regarding the tuner, every tuner goes into full testing at our workshop in Sydney, only after it receives all channels flawlessly it goes into production.

Still early days and I don’t want to appear too negative about this TV because I feel quite the opposite.
Today I bought a 500Gb portable USB drive to see if I could get a good video playback set-up going. When I bought this TV I did not realise that it had an inbuilt media player. I just ripped a DVD with no compression, and as I don’t know yet how to do the DivX4,5 X thingy; I tried it with the ripped VOB files. It played very well and I will just maintain a jukebox of DVD movies for traveling. Even if I don’t learn the DivX thing, I will still get some 100 movies in the palm of my hand. I hope they all turn out as well as this movie did!

It will be great for the van as I won’t need a media player and the battery will last a lot longer for movie watching…should not be more than 6 watts on top of the 40 watts the unit draws as a TV (please correct me if I am wrong).

Suggestion…the next model you source really should build on this feature and include PVR functionality with an external drive like I got today. I doubt this would be difficult as most of what is necessary (except HDD) is there already.

As well, it is now my desktop monitor and happy with its performance as such, just need to upgrade the graphics card sometime later.

I have just received my LED 24″ tv and have set it up. The only reason for purchase was to connect computer to the tv via HDMI port. The computer settings have been amended to match the tv’s 1080pHD 50hz base but the tv is still not recognising the input.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

  19. Les Hunt says:

I have just received my new 24inch LED TV and when I plugged it in all I got was a dark bluish screen.. nothing else.

The buttons on the side and the buutons on the remote did nothing other than turn the TV On and Off — that is they made the screen go very dark blue or black and they made the little light on the fron go from red to green.

    Any answers anyone???

I bought a 32″ 1o months ago and for 6 of those 10 months I have been trying to get some response form TYAGI to honour the 12 month warranty. The unit is crap, every time we move it “on the swivel base” it goes off and we have to get it just in the right place before it comes on again, obviously some loose wires there.also it does not read usb sticks well and the colour is appalling.Tyagi do not want to know,I have contacted them no less that 10 times with absolutely no response.obviously this will continue until the warranty runs out !!!!!
